Course Information

Eagles' Landing Golf Course, formerly known as Belton Municipal Golf Course, was closed in July 1998 to begin renovations that included:

  • Addition of 45 new tee complexes
  • Addition of two practice greens
  • Installation of a new irrigation system
  • Installation of continuous cart paths around the entire course
  • Rebuilding of all 18 greens
  • Regrading and draining of the fairways

Our driving range opened in 2007 and features hitting targets, a 32,000-square-foot grass hitting area, and AstroTurf hitting mats.

The crowning features of Eagles' Landing are the 69 bunkers that pepper the landscape. With the addition of new tee complexes, the course now plays around:

  • 4,900 yards from the green tees
  • 5,700 yards from the white tees
  • 6,350 yards from the blue tees

Golf Course Tour

Hole 1

Par 5

Yardage: 538

A dogleg left Par 5 measuring 538 yards. The fairway slopes right and begs for a big drive. Just be careful if you go for the green in two.

Hole 2

Par 3

Yardage: 180

A challenging Par 3 where the tees sit 50 ft. above the green. Windy conditions can make club selection tricky. Miss long and you will find the creek running along the back.

Hole 3

Par 4

Yardage: 435

The monster hole. Usually played into south winds , this hole has moguls down the left side, with a wide fairway sloping left to right. Out of bounds, down each side, and, a bunker protecting the right front of the green, with back right pin placement, all who make Par feel like it's a Birdie.

Hole 4

Par 4

Yardage: 417

To find the center of the fairway on this challenging dogleg right, requires a perfectly placed tee shot. From the back tees, it plays a deceivingly long 417 yards with several moguls down the left side and a group of trees on the right at the dogleg. The 2nd shot to the green from 150-120 could be a downhill lie. Don't miss the shot to the right of the green or you will be wet.

Hole 5

Par 5

Yardage: 598

From the back tee, this hole will be a true test for even the big hitters. A slightly uphill shot of 587 yards straight out of the south makes Par here an outstanding score. The green is trapped front right and left. Pin placement could provide a tricky approach also.

Hole 6

Par 3

Yardage: 172

Several trees guard this Par 3 and come into play when the pin is on the right one-third of the green. A large sand trap guards the left front. Birdie is possible.

Hole 7

Par 4

Yardage: 358

Risk Reward: An elevated tee flanked on the left by a beautiful lake with several moguls all the way down the left side. This short Par 4 dogleg left is reachable from the tee. You could be putting for a deuce (eagle) , but the ideal tee shot would remove most of the risk by aiming straight at the large sand trap with slight right to left ball flight, 220-240 right down the middle. This will leave short iron to a two-tiered green protected on the left by a sand trap.

Hole 8

Par 4

Yardage: 446

Water 400+ yards all the way down the right side following the fairway, dogleg right. Keeping the ball dry on this hole will be the key to making a good score. Hitting from a slightly elevated tee makes this a very beautiful hole. Keeping the ball on the cart path side of the fairway will give the best result.

Hole 9

Par 4

Yardage: 396

Big dogleg right. Aim at the left corner of the magnificent clubhouse, if you dare cut across the large lake. Or, take the more sure shot right center of the fairway. Watch out for a large sand trap guarding the left of this beautiful green.

Hole 10

Par 4

Yardage: 448

The toughest hole on the course. Teeing between some of the plentiful trees and coming out of a shoot, you will want to hit one of your best drives here. White rock beds line the right side, the green slopes severely left to right and a sand trap protects the right side. Par here is like a birdie.

Hole 11

Par 4

Yardage: 371

What a Beauty! Large trees guard the entire right side of this short dogleg. Position is key for an open second shot to approach the 60 foot elevation drop in front of the green.

Hole 12

Par 4

Yardage: 383

“The Creek.” Out of bounds to the left, plus the creek, with prevailing winds, make this medium length Par 4 very challenging. You must cross the creek twice on this fairway.

Hole 13

Par 3

Yardage: 180

Hitting to the slightly elevated green protected both right and left by large trees, makes this play a little longer than it appears. Also, a bunker behind the green of this wide target present a deceiving shot.

Hole 14

Par 4

Yardage: 387

Playing uphill and into prevailing south winds makes this hole play much longer than represented on the score card. Lateral hazard runs all the way up the left side, and large trees guard the right side of the fairway. With a severely sloping green, its best to putt from below the hole.

Hole 15

Par 4

Yardage: 375

One of the widest fairways on the course with moguls bordering both sides makes this a true driving experience into prevailing south winds. Two large sand traps guard the front of the severely sloping green from right to left. A putting challenge.

Hole 16

Par 5

Yardage: 546

A downhill that could be reachable by some players in two, providing the tee shot is kept in the fairway. Large trees on a severely sloping fairway demand precise accuracy off the tee. A 60 ft. elevation drop down to the green makes a spectacular view. The green is guarded by a creek on the back, left and front and will come into play if your shot misses the green.

Hole 17

Par 3

Yardage: 199

Another spectacular elevation drop that can play as much as 219 yds. or as short as 97 yds. with 5 tiered tee boxes. Sand traps protect the front right and left of this green.

Hole 18

Par 5

Yardage: 538

What a great finishing hole! From the back tees, 538 yds. Straight into prevailing south winds. To just reach the elevated fairway, the tee shot has to carry a water hazard, plus, be hit straight as an arrow a minimum of 230 yards. The challenging green slopes front to back and is surrounded by large trees and guarded in front and to the right by a sand trap.
