in applying to UMKC

Visit Campus
UMKC offers two campus visit options. Weekday Visits which include a walking tour of campus with a student ambassador, admissions and scholarship overview and an option to meet with the academic unit of your choice.
We also offer large group visits option called UMKC Preview Days . These are offered three times each semester, and feature admissions and scholarship presentations, walking tours of campus, and the opportunity to talk to representatives from a variety of departments and UMKC programs.
The UMKC Welcome Center is part of the Admissions Office , and is located on the Volker (Main) campus in Room 120 of the Administrative Center. The building address is 5115 Oak Street, Kansas City, MO 64112 .
We look forward to seeing you on campus!
Parking
UMKC has several metered parking lots all across campus that are available to visitors. If you have a campus visit scheduled through the Welcome Center, we will send you a parking pass prior to the visit event if you are attending on a weekday. This pass is good for one day and will allow you to park in any of the lots on campus (metered or otherwise). Parking passes are not required for weekend programs.
Visitors must be sure to display this pass prominently, so as to not be ticketed by parking operations.
If you have not received a confirmation packet/parking pass, please ask us for one when you arrive.
For students beginning their visit at the main campus, the Welcome Center recommends that you park in the Administrative Center parking lot at 5115 Oak Street, Kansas City MO 64112.
